Femmy Update ~ The Party

We will leave all the official feedback from the Femmy Awards Gala held last night at Cipriani’s to the home page wrap.  You will be able to see it all;  and for sure with much more professional photos. But we attended this stellar party last night – hats off to Karen Bromley and Barbara Lipton who co-chaired the event. The preparations were flawless and it showed,  so we decided to give you a Femmy wrap up appetizer.

First and foremost, were the terrific design submissions by the 6 finalists competing for scholarship money and to the winner, a free all expense paid trip to Paris Mode donated by Eurovet andCurvexpo. The results were an exceptional body of work guided by FIT mentor Alexandra Armillas and selected by the Saig committee.

Personally, we were caught up in the great networking opportunities with 600+ attendees.  But nothing makes the party more grand than the food, drink, flowers and music.

Without a doubt, Roz stole the stage with her brief acceptance speech for The President’s Award.  A perfect combination of her wit and wisdom, it was a hard act to follow.

And Seth Morris’ speech confirmed the stature of a great industry leader. Maybe we are biased as they both are on the board, but their authenticity shined through. They give The Underfashion Club the character it deserves.
