Inspirations
Nadia Phie
I was born and raised in Indonesia, where my early exposure to fashion came naturally—my family runs a retail textile business, so I grew up surrounded by fabrics long before I ever thought about design. That early familiarity sparked my passion for fashion and ultimately led me to pursue it seriously. I received my grandmother’s sewing machine when I was around ten, but it wasn’t until high school that I began teaching myself to sew, mostly through YouTube and other online platforms. Since then, I’ve developed a design aesthetic deeply rooted in romanticism, and my dream is to one day open my own bridal atelier. Participating in this competition challenged me to step outside my usual style, as I had never explored sporty silhouettes before. After graduating this May, I hope to join a reputable brand where I can continue to grow as a designer while gradually building my own label on the side.
