Princess Corset
In crafting my garment, I tried using as many pieces as possible, including the short sleeve HUE t-shirt, Eileen Nightgown, and Lace trims from Hanky Panky. I aimed for a seamless integration of these elements, employing creative strategies such as utilizing the decorative front of the Eileen Nightgown for the corset middle. The plain white sections served dual purposes as both the base of the coreset on which lace was placed on top of and the lining.
To maintain cohesion, I repurposed the bottom of the nightgown that has nice decorative pin-tucks for puff sleeves. The stretchy quality of the short sleeve T-shirt made it the ideal choice for the underwear, ensuring a comfortable and flattering fit on the body. Completing the ensemble, the Hanky Panky trims were used to make garters.
Daniel Bochkov
I was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Virginia. From a young age, I’ve been captivated by drawing, often focusing on sketching dresses on figures. This passion led me to enroll in a fashion design class in high school, an experience that ignited my love for the craft. Determined to turn my passion into a career, I set my sights on the Fashion Institute of Technology to pursue formal training in fashion design. My ultimate aspiration is to establish my own fashion brand. For the near future I plan to start my journey in fashion as a designer, learning and being exposed to all the “ins and outs” of the industry; immersing myself in, and drawing inspiration from, nature, architecture, history, and contemporary fashion trends.
