Soft Bandeau Bralette
The multicolored floral lace bralette features gold metal rings and straps adjuster sliders on the bralette straps to elevate the design and promote functionality. I used elastic tape below the over-bust line to maintain the top of the bralette in place. The elastic band at the bottom of the bralette helps the garment stay in place by providing stability and support. The stylized seam connecting the stretch mesh and the floral lace below the bustline is zig-zag finished from outside with elastic tape as decoration. This mix of textiles and textures has created a beautiful contrast of transparency and romance.
High Waisted Brief
Based on my primary sketch, I wanted to maintain both scallops’ edges of the lace on othepanty but the initial width of the floral lace fabric chosen was greater than what was needed. To solve this issue, I had no other option than to carefully section the lace into two and reduce its width in the middle. To reassemble the lace, I used lace appliqué technic and stretch stitches. It was a gentle process in which the floral pattern did not suffer. I have a decorative elastics trim at the leg opening and the waist to promote functionality. And, the decorative satin ribbon bow below the center front waistline adds a touch of modernity to the minimalistic brief panty.
Open-Front Sleep
The basic 100% grey silk chiffon short sleep robe features lace trims appliqué at the dropped shoulders and sleeveless armholes. I also have an assorted black silk trim contouring the center front neckline of the robe to create a chromatic relationship between the robe and the bra set. This color-blocking tip will help the robe to sell well as a single piece on the market.

Christelle Endale Elok
My name is Christelle Endale Elok. I was born and raised in Cameroon but moved to the U.S. in 2015 to follow my dreams. In 2017, I enrolled at FIT in New York to gain knowledge of fashion design and a deep understanding of the intimate apparel industry. During the course of my education at FIT, my humble dream of reinventing the intimate apparel industry in Africa has led me to the creation of two companies: Inside African Fashion LLC in 2019 and Madame Naughty LLC in 2021. My focus was establishing a local manufacturing center in Cameroon and to distribute various intimate apparel products across the region and reduce the massive importation of used lingerie products from overseas. African women also deserve to taste the goodness of brand-new lingerie products made locally and sustainably. I strongly believe that my humble contribution will positively help in changing the narrative of the current market’s condition and create great opportunities.
