Honorees of the 2020 FEMMY Awards!

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the 62nd FEMMY celebration at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on February 4th, 2020! The FEMMY Awards Gala has been recognizing leadership in the Intimate Apparel industry since 1963 and is the primary fundraising vehicle that enables The Underfashion Club to fulfill its charitable mission of “education today for a better industry tomorrow.” Congratulations to this year’s honorees and to the student design contest finalists from the Fashion Institute of Technology Student for creating beautiful garments that have us all excited for the future of intimates!

Nona Hendryx, famed singer, songwriter, producer and founding member of R&B group LaBelle was our gracious host for the 2020 FEMMY Awards. Thank you for joining us and sharing your energy with the audience! Cyndi Lauper and Nona Hendrix looked wonderful on the red carpet.

Berch Schultz, Divisional Merchandise Manager for Ladies Intimates and Sleepwear, accepted the Retailer Award on behalf of Walmart Inc.

The Brand Award went to Tommy John, accepted by the brand’s founders Tom Patterson and Erin Fujimoto. Since 2008, Tommy John’s goal has been to reinvent the underwear industry through the use of premium fabrics, innovative fits, and problem-solving functionality.

Bruce Getz of Komar Brands introduced Dorothy Galligan, the first recipient of the Industry Icon Award. In the 1970s, Galligan quickly became one of the most in-demand fit models in the industry. She has been the quintessential 34B for decades, contributing so much to the development of intimate apparel.
