UNDERFASHION CLUB: 12th Annual Student Design Contest
As promised, here’s more about the 2015 FEMMY Gala’s Annual Student Design Contest!
The annual Femmy Gala honors leading intimate apparel industry retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, innovators and individuals recognized for outstanding lifetime achievement, and raises funds in support of its mission, “Education today for a better industry tomorrow.” The 2015 Gala, hosted by actress/producer Vivica A. Fox was held at Cipriani 42nd Street on February 3rd, and featured the organization’s 12th Annual Student Design Contest whose winners, chosen that night, received cash awards.

The theme of the 12th Annual Student Design Contest for FIT students was titled “Best of Broadway”, with inspiration from Cabaret, Chicago, Motown or Lady Day.
And the winners are…
1st Prize: Samantha Burns
“Delectable Deco” inspired by Chicago
Awarded $5,000.00, an all expenses paid round-trip to Paris Mode City in July 2015, and a year’s membership in the Underfashion Club.
2nd Prize: Jezebel Torres
“Five Nights At Cicero” inspired by Chicago
Awarded $4,000.00 and a year’s membership in the Underfashion Club
3rd Prize: Consuelo Garcia
“Breathless” inspired by Lady Day
Awarded $3,000.00 and a year’s membership in the Underfashion Club
Finalists each received $1,000.00 and a year’s membership in the Underfashion Club: Hilary Marie Baxter, Stephanie Reitmann, Schwarz Kate Tobin
